The calculation rules of standard UTE C5712 make it possible to define the maximum number of chains per protection device using the maximum return current of the Irm module and the short-circuit current Isc. This information is generally given on the technical sheet of the module. By following these rules and unless otherwise advised by the module manufacturer, it is compulsory to use a protective device for each chain of modules.
