Each module has a serial number encapsulated in the laminate and visible on the front side (sometimes also on a back side label). The serial number usually indicates the following information: production date, place of production (factory, line, etc.), production order number. This information able us to find the material references used for the manufacturing of the module. In the context of a customer complaint, this traceability will allow the manufacturer to investigate internally on the nature and cause of the defect and / or underperformance in order to decide on the warranty of the product.  This participates in the continuous improvement of product quality by implementing corrective actions in production when recurant defects are noted.
