The recycling of a photovoltaic module goes through 3 levels of treatments: Thermal, Physical and Chemical. The first allows the different elements of the silicon-based photovoltaic module to be separated from the other solid components (glass, metals). The process consists of manual or machine separation of the frame, glass, cells and metal connections. The latter makes it possible to recover the silicon from the cells.
